After what has happened and is still happening in Gaza, “it is difficult to see a short-term solution” between Israelis and Palestinians, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, has said.

Jerusalem – Rome – Sanad Sahelia / Nabd El-Haya – AsiaNews, the news agency affiliated with the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions (PIME), has selected Father Bashar Fawadleh, a priest of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and Parish Priest of Christ the Redeemer (Catholic) in Taybeh, east of Ramallah, among its annual list of the 12 most influential figures shaping Asia in 2025.

Jerusalem – The Latin Patriarchate announced that it successfully delivered more than 1,500 tons of humanitarian aid between November 2024 and October 2025, as part of a continuous effort to support populations affected by the war and harsh living conditions.
Taybeh – Sanad Sahelia / Nabd El-Haya – Monsignor Hugues de Woillemont, director of the French organization L’Œuvre d’Orient, emphasized that Christians in the Holy Land are not forgotten. He stressed that France and its Church closely monitor the attacks and challenges they face, conveying these concerns to the relevant authorities.
